REBT 2026 Regulations
The new Spanish electrical regulations (REBT 2026) introduce important changes that affect electrical panels. Type AC RCDs are being phased out in favour of type A or higher, which offer better protection against the pulsating DC leakage currents generated by modern electronics, inverters and EV chargers.
Additionally, surge protection is now mandatory for all new installations and major renovations. This protects your appliances and electronics from voltage spikes.
